World Environment Day celebration 2013

പരിസ്ഥിതി ദിനാചരണവും തൈ നടീലും 

ചിറ്റിലംചേരി സൃഷ്ടി ആർട്സ് ആൻഡ്‌ സ്പോർട്സ് ക്ലബും, കാനറ ബാങ്ക് - ചിറ്റിലംചേരി ബ്രാഞ്ചും  സംയുക്തമായി നടത്തിയ പരിസ്ഥിതി ദിനാചരണം മേലാർകോട് ഗ്രാമ പഞ്ചായത്ത്‌ പ്രസിഡന്റ്‌  കുമാരി എ . അജിത ഉദ്ഘാടനം  ചെയതു.  എം . വി . പ്രസാദ്‌  അദ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു. 

എം . മുജീബ് റഹിമാൻ,  അബ്ദുൾ നസീർ,  എം . രവി,  കുമാരൻ,  സി. പ്രണവ്,  എന്നിവർ സംസാരിച്ചു. 

പരിപാടിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി ചിറ്റിലംചേരി മുതൽ കാത്താംപൊറ്റ വരെയുള്ള പാതയ്ക്ക് ഇരുവശവും തൈകൾ നട്ട് സംരക്ഷണ വേലി ഒരുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Srishti Arts and sports club - Chittilamchery celebrated World Environment Day in co-ordination with Canara Bank Chittilamchery Branch to raise global awareness of the need to take positive environmental action. Melarcode Grama Panchayath President Miss. A. Ajitha Inaugurated the function. Srishti club President M. V. Prasad presided the function. 

M. Mujeeb Rahiman, Abdul Nazeer, M. Ravi, Kumaran and C. Pranav joined with speech on importance of World Environment Day and the theme of this year. 

In relation to the programme, club activists planted varieties of plants on both sides of road from Chittilamchery to Kathampotta. 

The theme for this year’s World Environment Day celebrations is Think.Eat.Save.

Think.Eat.Save is an anti-food waste and food loss campaign that encourages you to reduce your food print. According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), every year 1.3 billion tonnes of food is wasted. This is equivalent to the same amount produced in the whole of sub-Saharan Africa. At the same time, 1 in every 7 people in the world go to bed hungry and more than 20,000 children under the age of 5 die daily from hunger. Given this enormous imbalance in lifestyles and the resultant devastating effects on the environment, this year’s theme – Think.Eat.Save – encourages you to become more aware of the environmental impact of the food choices you make and empowers you to make informed decisions.

Shuttle and Kabadi Tournament conducted on March 1st, 2nd and 3rd at AUPS chittilamchery in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra Palakkad, Srishti Club Chittilamchery

P.Geetha, President of Nenmara Block Panchayath inaugurated the sports meet at AUPS Chittilamchery on 2nd March.

Many teams participated in events. Prizes for winners are distributed on 3rd March at Srishti club office.

Youth club exchange program 2012

Government of India - Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports - NEHRU YUVA KENDRA PALAKKAD Organized in coordination with SRISHTI ARTS & SPORTS CLUB Kadambidi - Chittilamchery "Youth Club Exchange Programme" from 26th December 2012 to 30th December 2012.  

M. Chandran (M.L.A - Alathur) inaugurated Youth Club Exchange Programme and Block Level Folk Cultural Festival at S.N.Hall, Kadambidi, Chittilamchery.

A team of 10 youths from Andhra Pradesh, visited Palakkad and made a study on various aspects like social and cultural diversities. Youths from Palakkad joined with them to share ideas about Kerala and to understand Telungana culture from guests.

INTER-STATE YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAMME (ISYEP)


Objective:
The objective of this programme, which can also be termed as national Integration Tour is to facilitate the visit of youth living and working in one State to other State(s) with marked cultural differences and an exchange visit by the youth of the visited States. More specifically, such inter-State youth exchanges would aim at:

a) Familiarization with the environment, family life, social customs, etc. of the people living in different parts of the country.
b) Understanding of the common historical and cultural heritage of the country as symbolised in historical monuments, cultural forms and the way of life of the people.
c) Understanding of the problems being faced by the people of different regions.
d) Appreciation of the vastness of the country, its varied customs and traditions and yet a basic oneness which should engender among the participants a pride in being an Indian and
e) To inculcate amongst the youth a feeling of communal harmony.


Formation of groups and activities:  In regard to formation of groups, their itinerary and activities would be planned keeping in view the following:

a) The groups should be reasonably representative i.e. they should comprise young men and young women, students and non-students; should preferably include persons of different communities, particularly minorities and those belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
b) These groups while travelling to the place of visit could stop, en-route, where conveniently possible, to visit places of interest relating to development and those of historical and cultural heritage.
c) The groups on reaching the places of visit should undertake a variety of programmes which may include:


Cultural programmes 

1. Seminars, discussions and informal meetings. 
2. Joint participation of visitors and hosts in social developmental projects. 
3. Taking up community work 
4. Participation in regional festivals. 
5. Visit to places of historical importance and scenic beauty as well as to the sites of important developmental    projects. 
6. Participate in relief and rehabilitation activities 
7. Attachment with host families
